HAUL!

Hey girlies! This is my first haul that I'm going to share with you.  I stopped in Bath and Body Works and Ulta to check out the after-Christmas-sales and ended up with some great deals!

Wallflower in Sweet Pea

This is the first item I picked up.  I didn't see a good image of the dispenser along with the scent so this picture only shows the refillable scent "flower" part.  I believe it started out around twelve dollars and I ended up with the dispenser and one refill for just five. :) Sweet Pea is such a classic scent, I'm just hoping it won't be overwhelming in my room.
    Orange Sapphire Foaming Hand Soap
I know, this one isn't super exciting but I was out of soap in my bathroom!  It smells so good--like oranges but not too tropical.  And who doesn't love foaming hand soap that's 50% off?
    Country Apple Shower Gel
Yes, I'm fully aware these aren't worth ooh-ing and ahh-ing over but hey, they smell great and were so cheap!  This is a classic Bath and Body Work scent that smells fruity but not like a five year old girl.  It started out as 9.50$ and I got it for 3. :)

Bed Head TIGI 1 1/4" Styling Iron

I just deleted a sentence that said "this was a purchase out of necessity."  Really Lina, a curling iron is never a necessity but mine simply didn't curl!  It was a hand-me-down from my sweet mother that was probably over fifteen years old.  I did buy this full price but it's a brand that I trust and super reasonable--24.99$

And this is where my biggest guilty pleasure begins... OPI

OPI Nail Lacquer in Dulce de Leche

I've recently been on a nude kick.  In the last two weeks I've purchased this and the two Mac lipsticks Fleshpot and Hue.  I have very fair skin but dark hair (natural) and I love this color for it.  I'm actually wearing it now and watching my nails type hahaha.  Inside it's more of a taupey nudey color and in the sun it turns what I could call a dusty pink shade.  Love this.

OPI Have Colors Will Travel
No Room for the Blues and A Good Man-darin is Hard to Find

I love this red orange color.  If you're familiar with OPI you know about My Chihuahua Bites or Cajun Shrimp.  A Good Man-darin reminds me of both of those but a little bit more brilliant.  Perfect for summer on hands or toes!  Okay time for the real truth... I'm not a huge fan of blue nail polish.  When other's wear it I think it looks great but I just can't rock it.  However, at Ulta, OPI polishes run for 8.50$ each.  This set began at 14.95 and I picked it up for 9.99.  Who could pass that up??  Who knows, maybe this spring the quirky turquoise will grow on me!
Also, this set came with an adorable orange fake skin passport cover. It has three extra pockets on the left inside and conveniently matches my luggage!

OPI little Black Dress Up
Color So Hot it Berns and Lucerene-taintly Look Marvelous

Real talk here girls... I'm a sucker for tiny clutches.  The adorable black satin one that this came with is the perfect size to hold one nail polish (travel?) and is covered in a cute cute cute Chanel-esque pattern.  But the best part is the tiny tassel off of the zipper.  Yes, you have permission to roll your eyes.
Color So Hot it Berns is extremely similar to OPI Red or Big Apple Red and is a year round true classic red.  Lucerene-taintly Look Marvelous is a gunmetal glittery shade.  Anyone who knows me knows I avoid glittery nails, but this glitter is such a perfect match to the polish itself that it really just gives off a sheen of silver and black specks.  And it's the exact color of my favorite pair of heels!
I think this is the best deal I picked up all day!  It started out as 13 and I ended up only paying 5.90!  That's less than one bottle at a beauty supply store. :)

I had a fun shopping day with my Christmas money so please don't say I'm spoiled!  Thanks for reading, I know this was a long one!  Comment any of these that you're interested in a review for and in a week or two I'll write one.

My Current Favorite Mascara

Okay girls I'm going to be honest with you, when I say I'm a product addict, probably 80% of that is mascara.  I love eyelashes and I serial hoard mascara.  I generally find one I love that has equal amounts of lengthening and volumizing and stick to it for a while.  Admittedly I've been stuck on L'oreal's Original Voluminous in Carbon Black but my new go to issssssss drum rolllll pleaseeeeeeeeeeee Falsies Volum Express in Black Drama by Maybelline.  (significantly different from blackest black)
      Reasons I love it.
  • It doesn't clump - There's a wonderful spoon shaped brush that is just the right amount of stiff and flexible.  It is able to hit every lash without coating the sides of your eyelids too!
  • The color - The Black Drama features black lace on the front and once you put this product on that is exactly what you'll be dying to wear.  The color is so rich.  I've encountered many mascaras that claim to be black but turn out an ashy kind of grey or dark brown.
  • It can be layered - As a self proclaimed eyelash lover.. I just think they're so feminine and flirty, don't you?... I layer my mascara to three or four coats.  When I used Voluminous, after the second coat my eyelashes would start to look like little tree branches.  Instead of a nice kind of fake eyelash look they would collect mascara at the tips of each lash.  Falsies can be layered without looking like each eyelash is a stick.
  • It stays put! - This is a biggie for me.  Many of my previous mascaras would flake off and make what looked like black sand all under my eyes by the afternoon. The only problem I've had with falsies is that sometimes there's a fine line from where I've blinked right across the bags under my eyes.  But I wear an under eye circle concealer (review on that soon!) with a high SPF and I layer it two or three times.  I think that my mascara sticks to that because it stays a little bit moist throughout the day, y'all shouldn't see that happen though!
  • It's easy to get off - I know, this is a lazy one.  After a night at the gym and hitting the books, the last thing I want to do is take off my makeup.  All of us know that the biggest beauty sin is to sleep with makeup on so I use makeup that'll come off with a swipe of makeup remover wipes.  At the time of night it's usually coming off my face, shaking a bottle of remover and putting it on a cotton ball seems strenuous.
I really encourage all of you to try this!  As you all know I love a bargain and this can be found at any local drug store! CVS, Walgreens, Albertsons, etc.

Thanks for reading!  Whats you're favorite mascara?  Have you tried Falsies?

Get Naked Anyone?!

Before you judge me too hard, I'm talking about a makeup pallet :)  Urban decay has a set of twelve absolutely gorgeous neutrals packaged in a foldable covered in chocolaty velvet with gold letters reading "naked."

I am dying to try it.

Today must have been at least the fifth time I've checked my local Sephora for the set.  Sold out.  Which I interpret to mean that it has to be good!  It's a little expensive for me.. 44$ but if you think of what all you're getting it's an okayyy deal.  It comes with the twelve most popular natural shades in there full sizes, a mini eyeshadow primer potion, and a 24-7 dual sided eyeliner.

Do any of y'all have this?  I don't know if this is worth the wait, worth lusting over, worth the 44 dollars.  Give me all your feedback!

Prime-time anyone?

Hi sweet girls! I'm gonna squeeze in another quick review before I crash for tonight.  My cute mommy recently bought me a new HD web cam so naturally, I needed some HD primer to go with it!  Just kidding.
I've never used a primer before because I've been nervous about how my "baby booty", as my family likes to call it, skin would react.  I purchased Make Up Forever Professional HD Primer in Microperfecting Primer from Sephora last week with some Christmas moolah.  I. Love. It.  After the first use I wanted to kick myself for not investing in this sooner!  It gave me a covetable air-brushed look and seemingly changed the way my foundation went on.  (I use Lancome in long-lasting 16 hour)  Not one pore was visible and I still had a matte complexion in the late afternoon.
And here's the bang girls--my sweet mother grew up on a beach and understandably doesn't have the most supple skin.  And with the fifties approaching she has some pores--which she rocks--around her T-zone.  They disappeared with this primer even before I put the foundation on her!  If a product earns a rave from Mommy while we're playing beauty shop, it's a keeper!
I don't use a foundation brush for my base and I haven't been for this primer either.  It only takes a pea-sized amount to cover the whole face and it goes on so lightly that it's hard to tell it's even on!  The only down-side I can think of is that I've gotten two new lil' friends since this purchase... zit 1 and zit 2.  I'm not sure if that's bad timing or caused from the primer but even if it is I would recommend this to a friend! I absolutely love it.  I had no expectations for it, seeing as I had never used something like this before, and now I've become it's slave.  It's hard to leave the house without it!

Be Sweet Girls! And definitely pick this one up at your beauty supply!

Maybe I'm crazy because I don't have anything to compare this to!  What's you're favorite primer?

All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray--Urban Decay

I picked this up at Sephora a few days ago while taking advantage of a gift card from my sweet Uncle.  I figured after at least four days of using it I would be ready for a review.  However, I'm still on the fence about this spray.  I love the nosel (sp?) of the bottle.  It releases a very fine mist that doesn't feel heavy when landing on your face and it has a extremely light fresh scent smell to it.  Plus and plus!  What I'm still undecided over is how it makes my face look.  Dewy.  Practically every day I read about celebs rocking dewy skin or illuminating powder to give your makeup a dewy look.  As much as it shows up on the red carpet.... when my skin turns "dewy" I put pressed powder on.
So after collecting my thoughts I've come to a decision.
  • This product does what it promises.  I go to a school where makeup is rare so touch-ups in the bathroom are a no no.  This spray lets me go the whole day without sneaking off with my "pencil bag" of makeup.
  • It really just feels good.  The mist is so fine that its relaxing.  And I don't know about y'all but after I get dressed, straighten the monster on top of my head, and slave over my makeup, I'm hot.  In a sweaty un-sexy kinda way.  I've found this cooling and calming.
  • The spray gives an instant dewy finish.  For some people, that's awesome, even more reason to buy it!  But I'm not one for the dewy, teenagery skin.  Ultimately, if I could have this exact formula without the sole side-effect, I'd declare it a miracle in a bottle.
I would recommend this to my friends!  Although I would be careful if you have sensitive or acne prone skin.

What do y'all think about this product?  How about my review??
